earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois College of Law in 1990. He is a member of the College of Law's Alumni Council and former elected member of the Northern Illinois University Alumni Executive Board as Vice-President. He has been guest lecturer for Northern Illinois University's College of Law. He received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Major in Political Science and a minor in English in 1987. In addition, Mr. Hernandez has been Of Counsel to Floretti & Des Jardins, Fioretti, Des Jardins & Reda and Coston. Fioretti and Lictman doing their trial work from 1998 to 2004. Mr. Hernandez has been recently hired by the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office as a Special Assistant State's Attorney to defend Winnebago County from federal claims/suit.
Mr. Hernandez has served in the United States Army with 82nd Airborne Division and overseas in Panama. He attained the rank of Sgt. and earned his Jumpmaster status. He has been married to his wife Maria for over 20 years and they have a daughter, Katherine.
